Life in Battersea

Why we love living here.

When we ask our kids where they want to go, the answer is almost always Battersea Park. It's our favourite city escape, just minutes from home, and one of the big reasons people fall for this corner of South West London.

Battersea has a lot of personality packed into one postcode: grand mansion blocks facing the park, the reborn Power Station on the river, the family streets and weekend market around Northcote Road, and Clapham Junction for getting almost anywhere. Most of Battersea sits in the London Borough of Wandsworth, so it shares Wandsworth's famously low council tax.
